What it’s like to order a Goldy Caravan from start to finish

At Goldy Caravans, we believe that building your dream caravan should be just as exciting as the adventures you'll take it on. Whether you're in the early research phase or ready to hit the road, we want you to feel informed, involved, and supported every step of the way.
Here’s a full breakdown of how it all works — from your first enquiry to the day you pick up your brand new Goldy.
1. Initial Enquiry & Call Back
Once you send through an enquiry, one of our team members will give you a call to chat about what you’re after. No pressure — just a friendly conversation to help us understand what you're looking for and to answer any questions you might have.
2. Factory Tour or Zoom Walk-Through
If you’re keen to explore further, we’ll book you in for a walk-through of our vans.
If you’re local to the Gold Coast, you can come into our Burleigh Heads workshop for an in-person visit
If you're interstate or can’t make it in, we’ll organise a Zoom call and walk you through the vans virtually
During this session, you’ll:
Get a feel for the different models and layouts
See the quality and finishes up close
Ask any questions about options, customisations, and how the process works
Following the walk-through, we’ll send you a personalised quote based on your needs.
3. Finance Options
If you'd like to explore finance, we can set up a meeting for you with our finance partner. He'll talk you through the available options and help find the best solution for your budget and timeline.
4. Design Selections
Once you’ve accepted our quote, we’ll send you:
Our Goldy Mood Boards, showing off our five standard colour palettes
A Design Selection Form, where you can make your styling choices
If you’d prefer to go custom with your interior finishes, we’ll organise a meeting with our interior designer to bring your vision to life. This can be done in person or via Zoom.
You’ll also have a one-on-one meeting with our director, Jamie, to go over any layout or floor plan changes so we can make sure your caravan suits you perfectly.
5. Production Begins
Once everything is locked in, we move into the build stage. Here's how it unfolds:
The chassis is delivered and prepped
The body arrives and is assembled into our iconic Goldy shape
Then the interior fit-out begins — cabinetry, bedding, lighting, and everything in between
We’ll send you photos as your van progresses through each stage. If you're nearby, you're always welcome to drop in and see how things are coming along in person.
6. Pick-Up Day
When your van is ready, we’ll book in your collection day. At pick-up:
You’ll be shown through the van and how everything works
We’ll make sure you're comfortable and confident before driving away
If you're travelling a long way to collect your van, we recommend spending the night at a local caravan park — just in case you have any questions once you're settled in. That way, we’re close by and ready to help.
